For nearly a decade, I have been involved with design in one form or another. After spending the first 2 years of my career immersed in the mature world of print and identity design, I made the move into the rapidly growing, and much less developed, world of Web-based design. Since then, I’ve worn a number of related hats including: Art Director, Web Designer, User Interface Designer, Web Application Designer, Information Architect, Usability Coordinator, User Experience Manager, Project Manager and HTML Producer. At this point in my career I’ve gained the experience and skills to not only consult on any or all of these areas of expertise - but to also lead in the organizational development of each of these roles or departments.

I currently work at AOL as an Art Director on the AIM Product Design Team in Dulles, VA. We’re the team responsible for the design of all products related to Instant Messaging and Social Media. At the moment, I spend most of my time helping to design the AIM application but I’ve also helped to lead the design efforts for AIM Dashboard, People Connection and UnCut Video to name a few in my 3+ years at the company.

In addition to being a designer I’m a husband, father, brother, son, artist, tennis player, weightlifter, jogger, blogger and soccer coach.
